Automatic customer safe systems in Breitenbach and Laufen: Maximum access control security, around the clock, 365 days a year.
24-hour customer safe systems were planned, installed and put into operation as part of the construction of the new Raiffeisenbank Laufental-Thierstein branches in Laufen (2006) and Breitenbach (2018). The solution in Laufen replaced a conventional system without 24-hour operation, while the solution in Breitenbach was the logical consequence of the positive experience in Laufen.
The initial situation for both projects was very comfortable. Once the decision had been made in favor of automatic 24-hour customer safe systems and the supplier Imhotec, the systems and Gunnebo were part of the planning right from the start. The safes were easily installed during the construction phase.
The project team consisted of the client, imhotec and the architects. As the client, we defined the number of compartments, the security level to be achieved and the required compartment sizes. Imhotec then calculated the necessary spatial requirements. The architects then defined the structural and masonry requirements in consultation with Imhotec. They were also responsible for the implementation.
We have a 24-hour customer safe system with 200 compartments in Laufen and 170 compartments in Breitenbach. Both systems are housed in a compact space of just under 15 m3. They offer maximum access control security thanks to multi-level authentication using a crypto memory card, PIN code and biometric fingerprint.
Users of the 24h customer safe systems are very satisfied with the properties. They appreciate the 24/7 access to their valuables.
In the vast majority of cases, malfunctions are due to incorrect manipulation by customers. In most cases, the compartments are filled with too many documents or not completely closed. We avoid malfunctions due to a defect by having the systems serviced regularly.
