Converting a listed building is a demanding task. However, it only becomes really challenging when an existing safe system is to be replaced by a state-of-the-art 24-hour customer safe system.

Ultra-modern 24-hour customer safe facility in a listed building, reduced delivery times despite very limited space.
Initial situation
Project launch
As part of the renovation of the AEK office in Steffisburg, the existing safe system in a listed building was replaced by a state-of-the-art 24-hour customer safe system.
Important key data
The challenges of this project were manifold. In addition to the requirements of monument protection and the rather limited space available, there were also the high safety requirements and user-friendliness.
The floor plan was defined and could not be changed. So, in collaboration with Imhotec, we had to find a solution that met all requirements, maximum security, the best possible user-friendliness and the maximum number of lockers.
To achieve this, we used a ground-level safe system with double shelving and TwinRobot. A first in Switzerland.
About the result
The users of our 24-hour customer safe system are very satisfied. Faults are triggered by the user, if at all, and can be rectified easily. They appreciate the 24-hour access and the security. No wonder almost all lockers are rented out.
